Last 3 days in Oulu

Spent some great time with friends here, and it's so hard to say goodbye. Maybe the world is really small and we could get to see each other again. I really hope so!

Now I realize what I'd do with 10 million dollars if I struck the jackpot or something. I'd go travelling! (and of course buy a nice house and car, but that's besides the point.) And I mean travelling in style, not backpacking. Haha! Backpacking is cool, but not for an extended period of time. Even when I was in Russia, I was quite burnt out after a week of travelling and I just wanted to settle down back home in Oulu and have a internet connection and blog and read emails and stuff. LOL.

Travelling isn't tiring? Try backpacking a little, then you'll know. Haha. And not to mention the hassle of trying to get the best deal out of your air tickets. Sometimes the cheapest deal may not necessarily be the best.

Like Ryanair and its cheapo way of luring you to think its pricing is the best. Its airports are normally very far away from the city which it states. For example, the "Oslo" airport (Torp) it is supposed to land and take off from is actually 110km southwest of Oslo. Now that's not cheating, but it's close. Try landing 110km away from Singapore and call it "Singapore airport". Cool eh?

So there's the airport bus to take to the airport and it costs you. For my case, I had to pay almost the same price for the bus ride as the air ticket, effectively doubling the price of my air ticket. And it leaves 3 hours before the flight, so for my 0950 flight, I'd have to wake up at around 5am to get ready.

My rough idea now for this holiday would be something like this:

Oulu > Poland > Oulu? > Helsinki > Stockholm > Copenhagen > Oslo > London > Paris > Rome > Budapest > Prague > Helsinki > Singapore.

This starts from 10th May. So it's like more than 1.5 months of travelling.W00t!

Now you get the idea why sometimes it's tiring to travel eh? I think I'd miss good ol' Singaporean food after all the travelling. Prepare to get called out for late night suppers, my friends!
