It's 3 degC and I hate it
Why do I hate >0 temperatures so much? After all, it's supposed to be warmer and better eh?
Today, the wind was wreaking havoc. I was awoken by the sound of the wind, that's how bad it was. The trees were like bending at their tops (not really the whole tree) and the wind was really blowing strongly. Add to that the fact that since it's above 0 degC and the snow starts to melt. And the party starts. (Weiling told me she almost got blown off her feet today haha!)
You go out (to school, to town, to supermarket wherever) and step on the snow. wooooaaaahhhhh... so slippery! It's really a pain to walk on ice man. I really hate it when the snow melts. Then the underneath becomes solid ice and try walking (or walk-skating?) on that.
Anyway today I was so bored so I decided to do something worthwhile. Went to the nearby 3 supermarts to COMPARE prices. HAHA! Found out that some items are cheaper in one and more expensive in the others (OBVIOUSLY). So now I have a list and I know where to go for the cheapest items.
I got another beanie for E1.50 (or was it E0.75?) I dunno la. It's one with ear flaps so my ears don't drop off when I'm walking in strong wind. I really regretted not getting ear muffs in Singapore (after all, they were only $6!) Here, they have ear muffs at E29.90. The reason for ear muffs is simple. I don't want to mess up my hair!
Yesterday we (Wl and me) tried to settle some academic stuff with the professors but could only find two of them. So now, we have 2 mods settled. One is not offered this sem (anyway it's in Finnish so heck) and we just have to study the textbook and pass the exam on 31st March. The other we tried to map onto a module similar to EE2006 but was for EE3304. HAHA! Somemore that mod we don't have exams! Only need to complete the exercises in the book. HO SAY BO!
After that, I went out with Wei Ling and Jihye to downtown for some shopping. (yeah, I was bored again.) Saw many clothes that caught my eye (like a Polo Ralph Lauren jacket worth E169, T shirts that were going for E15, and jeans that were E40). I will save up to get some of them hehe. Got another boxer shorts for E5.90 and reserved a T shirt that I will go get on Friday (tomorrow!).
Shiet I shall stop splurging. But like my wardrobe is so bare! Can't stand it. Got lotsa T shirts but no one ever gets to see them cos they are the first/second layer that I wear! Stupid. And then I don't want to get jackets that I can't wear in Singapore. Waste money. So I am just waiting for the right jacket to come along, for the right price of course.
So that's it. Waiting for Wei Ling and Jihye to come back from aerobics so that I (might) get to eat some Korean ramen. WOOHOO! It'll be a welcome relief from my pasta/noodles/sausages/eggs/meatballs/ham routine. I swear off this food for the rest of the week. Hmm.. maybe not eggs. I love eggs.. still.
