Facts about Sauna
Here they are:
How to bathe in a Finnish sauna & Bare facts about Sauna
Basically you should be naked, that's what it is. You won't really enjoy it fully with anything on, not even a swimming trunks or itsy-weeny bikini.
All ya noobs should read this. Especially Singaporeans who have never entered one before. Being naked is part of Finnish sauna etiquette! (but no, they don't force you to be naked. LOL.)
Sauna and your health (this is probably a personal opinion from someone and should not be taken seriously, I think.)

"The Finnish population has survived so far, so I'm guessing the sauna can't be all that bad. The human body has an amazing temperature control system, allowing it to maintain the body temperature constant even in external temperature extremes. Body temperature might only change a fraction of a degree during all of a sauna bath."
Similarly for ice swimming I guess. Hey CJ, so you don't need to worry for me. I'm still very much a man =)
"Normal testicular function needs a lower temperature than the rest of the body, however, and extreme heat may have some effect."
Uh oh.
It's said in this website that sauna helps to lower your blood pressure cos it dilates the capillaries in your skin. So people with low blood pressure watch out. Might feel faint-ish after you come out from the sauna. And it's recommended that you stay in the sauna for ten minutes at a time, not more. Or follow what your body tells you, that's most accurate.
And no, sauna doesn't help you to lose weight, contrary to my statement in an earlier post. The only weight you lose is from losing the fluids in your body, which would be gained back after drinking water/juices.
Other than that, all I can say is sauna is good clean fun. I am still waiting for my mum to tell me why is sauna bad for health. Or Joan aunt? Maybe breathing in all the humidity will hurt your lungs? That's the only thing I can think of.
