Parties galore
The past few days have all been party days. Now getting a little sick of parties, but of course you can never get sick of talking to new people. It's interesting for me to learn a bit more about people and their cultures.
Been to Brazilian party on Wednesday, which was more of an information session more than anything else. Of course there was some samba dancing (of sorts). And we became a little "drunk" and doing some stupid things like below.
The Haka starting positions! From left: me, Lucie, Eva and Hanka. (thanks Judita for the photo!)
Yippeeee! (from left clockwise: Lucie, Hanka, me, Eva, Palo and Ludo. The girls are from Czech Republic and the guys are from Slovakia. It's a little funny but it seems that Czech Republic has only girls and Slovakia has only guys. That's totally untrue of course. If you go back in history, Czech Republic and Slovakia shared history as the country formerly known as Czechoslovakia. That's why they all understand each other perfectly.)
And of course after that was my virgin trip to the really hot disco, Onnela. No pictures cos I was too lazy to take my camera along.
Then there was the sashimi (raw salmon) party on Thursday which was more of another information session (for my faithful listeners) and eating session too (for me, mostly). The Czech people said they liked it, but no action from them. 3 or 4 pieces each and the rest went untouched. But they said they liked it, so well, I guess I shouldn't read too much into it. The chef hard at work. LOL!
The people listening to me talk (I like it when I get such attentive audience!). Teaching them how to eat sashimi properly with wasabi and soya sauce.
Tonight there's another party at the Slovak guys' flat and I am cordially invited again. I think this week is Czech week for me or something. LOL!
OK, I shall take a reluctant hiatus from blogging because of my Russia trip. I shall miss you all. To those who are studying, good luck for your revision. To those stressed souls out there, hang in there cos it's gonna be over soon (like what you said to me when I was having MY exams.)
Guess what? My soup just dried up at the stove. ARRRRGGGHHHH!
Blogging, the boon and bane of my life.
