I'm back from Poland.. now in Helsinki!
Back from Poland, and boy, it was a blast!
From the sailing in the great Mazury Lakes, to the sun tanning (I'm now really brown; and black in photos argh!), to the walking around in Krakow (or Cracov as Polish people would have it), visiting of the Auschwitz death camps and Wieliczska salt mine, it was a 10 day wonder.
The bus rides were the only pain in the ass. In these 10 days, I travelled an amazing 3200km by bus and boat! Made some new friends (Finnish too!) and now my stay in Helsinki will be much more pleasant with more people to call upon =)
Looking forward to the next trip to Scandinavia (yes I'm visiting all of the countries - Sweden, Denmark and Norway!) It's gonna cost a bomb, but the pictures from Norway, I promise that they will blast you all away.
Meanwhile I will leave you all with a photo from Krakow. Not a typically representative picture, but certainly one of my favourites.
Thanks to Igor I managed to get this wonderful picture (for some reason it is inverted again =S)
Along Krakow's main river. As usual, I forgot the name. =P
And bringing you Krakow's market square, the largest in Europe!
If you think this is not big, I forgot to mention it's only one facade of the square. But then again, the whole square is filled with beer gardens and cafes. All in all, a charming place to be in. Horse carriages and tourists make up the whole place. Cheap food too, if you look in the right places!
OK, that's all for now. Time to settle other more important stuff.
Tata folks!
