In Stockholm
We were trying to check into Helsinki-Vantaa airport when one of the airport officers decided that he didn't know whether Singaporeans needed a visa to enter Scandinavia. For the more educated, we all know that the Singaporean passport is so valuable, all because we can enter a lot of countries without visa! (In fact, only communist countries need visas for a Singapore passport. Correct me on that.) But well, since he wanted to check, we had to wait.
And so we waited, a group of 6 Singaporeans and 1 Malaysian (well, it's almost considered as 7 Singaporeans since WL can almost be counted as a Singaporean already LOL!)
And then somehow, (maybe because we were such a big Asian group), 2 policemen decided that we were a suspicious bunch and decided to report us to the airport police. So we got checked thoroughly, passports and all, and were even FINGERPRINTED! So now the Finnish authorities have my right and left index fingerprints. I bet that they can't check anything with that cos the Singaporean authorities only have our right thumbprints. So I really wonder what that was all about.
Anyway, I have a generally good image of Finnish people, and I won't allow this ugly incident to mar this image, unless of course I get checked again, in the same rude manner that the guy showed us today.
Was raining on and off in Stockholm the whole day, and I already had to spend so much on cab fare! (had no choice cos ZM's parents and aunt are here with us.) ARGH. I didn't want my money to drain like that =S
Anyway, praying for good weather for the next few days. Stockholm is really beautiful, much more than Finland's Helsinki. Sorry I have to speak the truth, although I love Finland for its people (at least those Finns I know, plus the great European friends I made there.
NO MORE RAIN!! And no more cab!!
